World Heritage Beer Garden Picnic

TheWorld Heritage Beer Garden Picnic sought to “illuminate,” connections within a solar economy. Materially, this involved harnessing solar energy and agricultural waste sugars to remediate eroded land with fungi, and designing a beer to augment farmer incomes. In the visible laboratory we constructed, we grew fungi and displayed maps, videos and objects, and offered lectures and self-published bilingual pamphlets to visitors. The project both participated in and reflected on the interventions of artists and non-governmental organizations in developing regions. More about the six-month project at the website.
