Watershed Water School

An autonomous school open to all living nearby or inside the Menominee River within the political entity known as Milwaukee. Recently the flood walls of the Menominee River were removed and 160 plant species were introduced. This was a daylong observation of the river's plants, current, and inhabitants to which the public was invited. Activities included mapping, applied physics, taking samples, crayfish meditation, poetry reading, and a conversation about river restoration with horticulturalist Nancy Aten.
