The Coalition of Inquiry into the State of the Future (herein referred to as "The Coalition") alleges that language used in certain documents of public and journalistic record (attached), and written with the intention of informing a general public as to the nature of certain subjects (below), bears a spurious and suspicious relationship to the truth.
The Coalition of Inquiry into the State of the Future was an ad hoc coalition created by BLW and the Philadelphia collective Think Tank. In this participatory legal theatre project, residents of Philadelphia were invited to comment on the propaganda being created about "quality of life" issues in Philadelphia. Specifically people contrasted the Housing office's use of eminent domain to evict families to a city wide propaganda campaign marketing a 'gritty' new gentrification. Some of the documents are here. This event was held at the Philadelphia Institute of Contemporary Art.
